THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: AI agents
AI agents use models to choose actions, call tools, and work toward a goal. This thread follows agent frameworks, memory, orchestration, evaluation, and safeguards; autonomy and reliability vary between systems.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗846 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: The mainbrella effect – AI code / Agent machines ↗
Hi, my name is Andrew and I'm the founder of mainbrella co. Just a few days ago Cloudflare launched their container sandbox service. That inspired me to see what I could build in terms of a better e2b.dev or daytona.io type system. It is all open source GPL 3.0 and we offer the same services as the other players. We have no free plan (our base builder plan is $5 a month) but you are welcome to run the code in your own Cloudflare account. The numb…

Tell HN: 2026 is the year of the Linux desktop, agent-adjusted ↗
If you consider that most AI agents now have a VM who have a Linux box, including OpenAI’s latest release (Dot). I also read that 2% of Americans are using AI in one way or another. So, if the Linux Desktop also measures AI desktops which are controlled by users via their, well, UserAgent… then year of Linux desktop is already here or it’s very close!

Show HN: Flash-Agents – DSH as MCP for Claude ↗
I do a lot of work using claude and codex. I use plenty of sub-agents. But nothing balances bang for the buck as good as deepseek v4.1 flash for me. So I thought, why not use the deepseek harness as MCP and drive it from claude as an orchestrator. I am probably not alone with this idea, but I haven't found something comparable. I wanted to fan out sub-agents and get back meaningful results. Well, say hello to flash-agents. With ollama as a backen…

How to assess evidence about AI agents
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
