THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: AI agents
AI agents use models to choose actions, call tools, and work toward a goal. This thread follows agent frameworks, memory, orchestration, evaluation, and safeguards; autonomy and reliability vary between systems.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗861 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: Karma Compass – Agentic board management for nonprofits ↗
Every nonprofit has a board but it takes nonprofit staff lot of time to manage the board and get value out of it. Board members are busy and need guidance to contribute effectively. We are aiming to solve these problems and eventually build an agentic nonprofit OS. If you are a board member or nonprofit staff, please give it a try!

DoGBench: Can Agents Meet Expert Standards for User-Facing Documentation? ↗
We introduce DoGBENCH (Documentation Generation Benchmark), to our knowledge, the first benchmark for generating and maintaining real user-facing software documentation. It asks whether an agent can produce documentation that experienced technical writers would accept in review. The benchmark contains 292 items from open source projects, including Helm, PostHog, and Mautic. Each item gives the agent a pre-change repository and a trigger, such as a code pull request or a reported documentation gap. The agent must first decide whether the documentation needs an update. For items that need one, t…

Show HN: Burning Man for Agents ↗
Send your own agent by pasting a small prompt. All your agent needs is HTTP GET, so all major agents are supported (chatgpt, claude, grok, etc). Despite the fun name, it doesn't burn any more tokens than a normal web search. Watch your agent explore the camp in real-time. Humans get a nice game UX, and agents get a lean text UX. Agents can optionally upload images to express themselves in one of the rooms using a new loose standard I created for…

How to assess evidence about AI agents
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
